Book Recommendations
MAJOR, HUGE, MASSIVE DISCLAIMER:
I had the idea to compile a list of some of my favorite books/authors... BUT... This is NOT a comprehensive list, nor is it in any particular order. It will be updated often, yet I still don't think my bad brain could manage a fully comprehensive list and not miss one or two amazing authors!
All this is meant to be is a fun starting point for you to hopefully find some wonderful reads that you can be certain are both clean and enjoyable.

Sarah Eden
Any Sarah Eden book is a winner for me. Some favorites are: Kiss of a Stranger, Drops of Gold, Charming Artemis, Healing Hearts, and Love Remains.
Cindy Steel
A newer RomCom author who is taking the scene by storm! The woman KNOWS how to write a kiss!
Sally Britton
I have loved Sally's books for years. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be a tie between this one and Copper for the Countess.
Karen Tuft
My first exposure to Karen Tuft was picking up this book in a bookstore solely because of the cover. Let me tell you... the inside is just as beautiful!
A.L. Sowards
I've described this story as being a fantasy novel without a magic system, and it is SO good. You need to try all of A.L. Sowards' books!
Will Wight
This might be my favorite fantasy series. It's unique, enjoyable, and the audio reader is FANTASTIC.
Joanna Barker
Joanna writes beautiful, witty first-person regency romances that will pull you in and keep you up late!
Kristi Ann Hunter
Every one of Kristi's books are incredible. Another favorite of mine is "A Defense of Honor."
Jody Hedlund
Jody's versatility is incredible! You need to check out her many books--in many genres!
Holli Jo Monroe
Holli Jo is a master at fiction and research! You won't be able to believe that this is her debut novel!
Summer Dowell
I absolutely love Summer's laugh-out-loud romantic comedies. They are the perfect feel-good reads.
Lynette Eason
If you are looking for some amazing, clean romantic suspense... look no further! I adore Lynette's books!
Nancy Campbell Allen
Steampunk?! You NEED this series in your life! The second book is one of my favorites... but I really love them all!
Aspen Hadley
Every book of Aspen's that I've read is just delightful! This one is a particular favorite.

I will die on the hill that says Jennie is the next Georgette Heyer. She GETS the regency, and her books are not only sweeping romances, but also beautiful historical novels.

Arlem is a treasure mine of knowledge on the Regency era, and this book is just so unique!
Jane Austen
Okay, I KNOW. Of course, Jane Austen is on here. But mostly, I have to tell you that if you haven't enjoyed reading these books, try LISTENING! The audiobooks are fabulous. I particularly love the ones read by Rosamund Pike.
Ashtyn Newbold
Ashtyn was another one of those lucky finds early in my reading, and she is an INCREDIBLE storyteller. I particularly love her Brides of Brighton series.
Deborah Hathaway
I met Deborah at a Regency retreat in Utah, and it was one of the most providential meetings of my life, as it introduced me to her books. Her characters and love stories are absolutely incredible and life-like.
Sarah Adams
Sarah Adams writes fantastic stories with witty banter! Her regencies are completely clean reads, but her romantic comedies range from clean to closed-door romances.
Martha Keyes
Martha Keyes writes such realistic, incredible stories that are packed full of wonderfully integrated history!
Rachel Fordham
Rachel is the queen of lifelike characters. She writes wonderful stories full of heart that will stick with you for a long time!
Emma St. Clair
Emma will have you rolling on the floor laughing! This series is wonderful and I also love her Royally Rearranged book!
Jennifer Moore
Something about this book will forever keep it on my favorites list. A swoony hero + a unique ship setting= you being swept away (pun intended)
Tiffany Odekirk
Formerly (and still) an (incredible) contemporary author... Tiffany didn't just burst onto the regency scene with this book... she TOOK the scene.
Brandon Sanderson
Yes, yes, a little different than most books here... but if you have a hankering for a fantasy and haven't read Brandon Sanderson--change that, please!
Kortney Keisel
Kortney's dystopian series is a delightful mixture of unique world-building and laugh-out-loud romance. Plus now she's also writing Rom Com's you can enjoy!
